How important are readers to a writer?
What books make writers want to be writers?

Island magazine Managing Editor Vern Field will sit down with Tasmanian writers Erin Hortle, Robbie Arnott and Katherine Johnson to discuss what reading means to them and how books have shaped their lives. They will also be discussing what it means to win a Tasmanian Premier’s literary prize.

Erin Hortle won the 2017 Tasmanian Young Writer’s Fellowship. Robbie Arnott won the 2015 Tasmanian Young Writer’s Fellowship. Katherine Johnson won the 2013 University of Tasmania prize.

This panel is assisted through Arts Tasmania by the Minister for the Arts.
